All she ever wanted to be was a mother…
Lori Graham Bakker was raised in a middle-class, church-going family. In her teens she turned away from the faith, and began to live a life filled with Sex, Drugs and Rock & Roll.
Lori began a relationship at the age of 17 with a man who became her first husband. The marriage turned out to be a nightmare of violence and abuse. She escaped the pain with more drugs. Then she found out she was pregnant.
For Lori, abortion was never a thought, but to keep her spouse, it was the only option. Five times she became pregnant. Five times he demanded she get rid of it. The last abortion left complications that caused her to have a total hysterectomy at the of 22.
Lori knows the incredible devastation of abortion but she also came to know the beauty and incredible adventure of motherhood when God led her and her new husband Jim Bakker to adopt five children from the inner city of Phoenix. They were inspired by prophecy to build Lori’s House to offer not just an objection to abortion, but an option.
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

It takes hope to give life, and Lori is determined to do all she can to keep other girls from going through the pain and tears that she has shed over the loss of her five babies. Stand with Lori and be a part of the miracle of Lori’s House.

I am humbled to be involved with the dream of Lori’s House as it unfolds. God gave Pastor Jim and Lori Bakker a heart to help hurting expectant women, bringing them into a place of refuge and restoration as lives are saved.
The purpose of Lori’s House is to provide a place of Love, Hope, Healing, and Safety for expectant women. Pastor Jim and Lori have invested and prayerfully planned each detail of this magnificent home, to ensure each Lady knows they are loved from the start.
God has prepared and brought me here. Each step I have taken was planned and ordained by God. “For such a time as this”, God passionately loves and cares for his children.
I am determined and honored to do God’s will for each Lady that enters. My desire is to make my heavenly father proud as lives are saved and changed by his power.
